Perfect Lip!

I love a bold colourful lip, I use this as my main focus point of my makeup as people use different parts of the face to focus on such as eyes, but for me its defiantly lips. I love big bold lips with minimal makeup as I think it is a really classic look.

These two lipsticks are my all time favourites and a must for that perfect lip!

These are swatches of the two lipsticks. The top lipstick is Kate Moss Matte 107, and the bottom swatch is Matte Ruby Woo MAC.
The first think I do is use this lip scrub and this will get ride of any dry skin making the lips smooth and giving the lipstick a better finish. This is important as the lipsticks are matte so they will not moisturise the lips. (£5.50)
The next step I use when applying Ruby Woo is use this Estee Lauder lip conditioner. As I find Ruby WOO very drying so I need to put something under it to make it smooth and not dry up my lips causing the lipstick to look tacky. I first tried vaseline but this was too shiny, so when I came across this it was perfect it left my lips conditioned without making the lipstick shiny or sticky which i think is important for a matte lipstick.
 £17.00
I then use this lipliner from MAC called Cherry which makes the lips look bigger making them more bold. (15.00)
This is Ruby Woo which is a classic MAC favourite. I love how bold the colour is, however it is very drying and when putting it on it is like a chalky substance making it harder to apply, but once it is on it looks amazing and gives a really bold perfect red lip.
 £15.50
This is my favourite high street lipstick, and I came across this as I wanted to get the MAC Diva lipstick and people had told me this was identical to Diva and was amazing, so I went out and got it not expecting much due to the price. The first time I put this on I fell in love with it as it is so easy to apply and not drying so I don't need to put any lip conditioner under this. It is also so pigmented which I did not expect for the price. This is defiantly a bargain for the price and the quality of lipstick you are getting. Its colour is also identical to Diva by MAC which is over triple the price of this lipstick. This is a must have!

New Piercings

Today after much thought and, many attempts of going and talking my self out of it I got two new piercings. Even though I know piercings aren't for everyone (such as my mum) I love them. I got my Rook and Tragus in my ear pierced. The reason It took me so long to get this done was because I was thinking about other peoples experience too much, as people I had spoke to who had these piercings said it really hurt and I would hear a pop when the needle goes through the cartilage which really put me off. Remember everyones experience is different so don't just take peoples experiences as yours may be completely different.

The Tragus piercing is the one with the ring in it at the front of the ear. People who had this piercing done told me it was painful and they heard a popping noise when the needle went through. In my experience I can honestly say this piercing did not hurt at all just as much as a lobe piercing does and I did not hear the dreaded popping noise which was a relief. The second piercing I got further up is called a Rook piercing and again people told me that this was meant to be one of the most painful piercings you can get on the ear and they also heard a popping noise when the needle went through, and that it hurts more because its like having a double cartilage piercing at the same time. My experience with this piercing like the other one was honestly fine and did not hurt at all and I don't consider my self to have a high pain thresh hold at all. I also did not hear the popping noise, but I have heard that it depends what type of cartilage you have such as if it is harder then some other peoples if you hear the noise or not, wether this is true or not i'm not sure. I think it is important to remember if you are thinking of getting a piercing that everyones different so for some peoples piercing that don't hurt may hurt others, but the pain will never be that bad its unbearable and it will only last no more that a few minutes. After getting these piercing my ear is a bit sensitive which is understandable, I just need to keep it clean and clean it twice a day and hopefully in four months time it should be healed enough that I can change the jewellery.

I also have other piercings on my ears, I have my first and second lobes done on both ears which where painless and easy to heal. I also have two cartilage piercings on the top of my left ear which I got just under a year ago. I did fell a little bit of pain when getting these done but it wasn't unbearable and lasted less than five minutes. They where sensitive for a few weeks and I couldn't sleep on them for a while. I cleaned them twice a day, but despite this they did get infected and I had to get antibiotics to treat this as they swelled up a lot and didn't look that great. With cartilage piercings there is more chance of them getting infected than a lobe piercing as they take longer to heal but this wont happen to everyone. Since the infection has gone I have had no problems with them and I can sleep and do anything I could with my ear before I got them pierced.

I love my piercings and hopefully in the near future I hope to get more piercings such as my nose or septum pierced. I think all my piercings have been worth it even with the bit of pain they may have caused me and the worry before the piercing they where worth it in the end.

Yankee Candles

Now that Autumn has arrived I thought that I would pull some candles out to get me into the mood of the colder nights so I went and bought some new Yankee Candles.
This candle is the Mandarin Cranberry and it smells like autumn (if Autumn had a smell). Its so warm, and perfect for dark and cold Autumn/Winter nights which in England we get a lot of so I will defiantly be making use of this. (£5.99)
This is a candle topper which goes on top of the jar above and it looks so pretty, especially when the lights are off and the light from the candle comes through its a must have for dark cold nights. (£8.99)

How pretty does this look I feel all cosy just looking at it.
These four candles are called samplers and are perfect if you want to try the sent out first before committing yourself to a jar, and once you find that perfect sent you cant get enough of you can buy the jar knowing you will love it. The scents starting from the left are Pink Hibiscus which is a nice light floral scent perfect all year round. The next one is Coastal Waters which is a lovely clean and fresh scent. Next is Wild fig which is an amazing warm fruity scent perfect for Autumn/Winter. The last candle is Beach Walk is a perfect fresh scent smells of a fresh relaxing holiday. (£1.80 each)
This is a candle holder for the samplers which are the candles above I think it is a perfect holder, and you an get so many different types to match any room it becomes a feature of the room. (£5.00)

The candle in the holder is called sparkling Lemonade, and it is a perfect fresh summer sent defiantly reminds me of an ice cold fresh lemonade. (£1.80)

These candles can be used all year round but having them on now and having the lights off, and being all wrapped up warm in bed whilst the cold nights creep in is what Autumn/Winter is all about, and being able to smell all the lovely scents is a perfect night in. It reminds me Christmas is not to far away, and I am so excited I cant wait.

In July 2014 me and my family went on a 3 week holiday to America for my 18th birthday. We traveled around a few different places of America and I thought I would share some of the pictures I took with you.

I had been to America before but only to Disney World Florida, and when my mum asked me where I wanted to go for my 18th I knew it would have to be America, but I thought I should try somewhere other than Disney world and see what the rest of America had to offer. So me and my family traveled to New York, San Francisco, LA and San Diego. From New York to San Francisco we flew but, to everywhere else we hired a car and drove the coastal roads, and even though it took at lot longer to get there it was worth it with the views making up for it. being on the coastal roads and looking out the window made it feel life a movie scene and was one of my favourite parts of the holiday. Another favourite part of the holiday was visiting Muir Woods National monument in San Francisco where it was so peaceful and quite away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not that I didn't enjoy the cities such as new york which when you stood in times square it felt like it was somewhere I had already been after seeing it so many times in films and TV programs. not far from times square was central park which seemed like a different world from the city where people where riding round on bikes and children playing and running round it was a place of clam and a place to unwind from the crowds of Manhattan. The whole holiday was full of amazing memories and I couldn't honestly pick 1 minute I wasn't happy, and i hope one day to return to these places for more happy memories with family and friends.
